There are only 6 to 8 places on this portrait photography workshop. We limit the numbers so you will be getting the best learning experience, i,e you will learn every thing you need to know about shooting portrait photography in the studio and out on location using available natural daylight light, artificial light using flash equipment kits, on and off camera flash, lighting modifiers, reflectors, diffusers and bounced light.
The chosen models and the styling mood boards will be provided to you after you have booked your place before the shoot start date to keep this exclusive so your images are unique. Too often concepts get copied by others.
Chateau de Clerac, L'art Studio: a fabulous Napoleonic chateau set in the beautiful French countryside, about 45 minutes North of Bordeaux, which is very easy to get to from most European cities; it's also the location for Bruce's Fashion Editorial Shoot Experience, shooting a story French Art Noir editorial for a fashion magazine.
There is lovely comfortable full board shared twin bedroomed accommodation at c150 euros per night you can choose to have a private room at an extra 50 euros per night on top of the normal accommodation fees, subject to availability.
Fine dining every evening with very lovely French wine's and great company with the team member's of stylist, hair and make artist and of course our model's and fellow photographer's.
We have transfers to and from the airport and railway station in Bordeaux at a cost of £50 per person return or free transfers if you can make it the local railway stations of Saint Yzan or Coutras.
Bringing a none shooting friend or partner with you
Bring a friend or loved one at an extra £125 (150 euros) per night sharing your twin or double room including full board accommodation.
We can cater for most dietary needs, please let us know if you require anything specific, we will do our best to accommodate, we tend to eat local and healthy food. If you have any issues with animals please let us know, we do have dogs, cats, rabbits, parrots, chickens and horses at the chateau.
What you need to bring
You will need to bring with you your DSLR, lenses ( Bruce uses 17 to 55 f2.8, 24 to 70 f2.8 and 70 to 200 f2.8), memory cards, card reader, chargers and batteries, a laptop with Photoshop, Bridge or Lightroom installed plus any cables for your kit. Plus your clothes, suitable for the weather in this part of France in March and toiletries.
Stay a bit longer
It is possible to extend your trip to turn this trip into the perfect photography workshop and holiday, please message me for information about extending your stay in Clerac/Bordeaux. This is an extra £125 (150 euros) per night per person full board.
Booking and paying the fees
To help us to help you re creating the best portrait photography workshops please fill out the image application form, you will need to provide me with links to at least 5 of your latest portrait, fashion or fine art nude style images or a website link to your photographs plus a few words about your photography objectives if you attend this shoot trip for myself and the other team leaders to help us re your mentoring during the portrait photography workshop.
Paying the relevant payment, full fee, deposit or paying by installments.
There are 3 options for paying the fees, by 3 monthly installments of £417, or pay a deposit now of £250 and the balance £1000 a max of 30 days prior to the shoot start date or you can pay the fee of £1150 when booking and save yourself £100. Accommodation fees will be invoiced separately by The Chateau De Clerac addmin..
If you wish to have a private room please add an extra 50 euros per night to your fees, i,e £300 extra to your accommodation fees , please let us know well in advance so we can invoice you correctly and reserve your private room.
A £50 discount if you get a photographer friend to book to attend the workshop.
If you know some body that would be interested in attending you will receive £50 towards your fee if they book because you have made the introduction. So do share the information with all of your friends and connections but make sure you tell them to let us it was you who suggested they attend.
